(Brussels, 17 January 2011) CIAA has been working with The CarbonNeutral Company, a world leading provider of carbon reduction solutions, to make the CIAA Congress 2010 CarbonNeutral®.
It is with great pleasure that CIAA can announce that the CIAA Congress 2010 has now been certified a CarbonNeutral® event. The CarbonNeutral Company has measured greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and reduced them to net zero through carbon offsetting in accordance with the requirements of the CarbonNeutral Protocol. 55 tonnes CO2e have been offset through a project which uses biogas from wastewater to generate heat and power at a tapioca starch drying factory in Cholburi, Thailand (the starch is used by the food industry). For further information on the project, please click HERE.
